Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 11:28 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Wisconsin. The requester, Richard Onno Haak, submitted the following information: “My UTV is stuck in nearby oconto north branch stream need a sand anchor not many trees. Have winch, but may need another / I’m not with the vehicle.“
We received this request, contacted Richard right away, and verified his GPS location and situation before submitting the request to local volunteers within an 85-mile radius.
We don’t have a ton of volunteers in this area, but luckily within 15 miles we had one volunteer willing to go, Brad Coleman. He reached out to Richard to offer help, but a few minutes later after Brad contacted him, Riichard managed to get the vehicle out. We don’t have much more details about this.
Although in cases like this one, we didn’t actually end up getting the vehicle out, we still like to recognize those volunteers who responded to our call and especially those who were willing to help, like Brad. You guys are always amazing. (offroad recovery in Wisconsin)
