Saturday, January 7th 2023, at 2:20 p.m. (PST) we received a request for help from near Sweet Home, Oregon, where Matthew Palmer told us he had his Subaru high-center in snow.
They got stuck, left the vehicle and drove 35 miles west to Sweet Home to get either shovels or help. They submitted the request to the Portal and 2:35 p.m., the request was submitted to volunteers. We confirmed the location, got a picture and checked all the information from the Matthew.
No more than 20 minutes later we had a myriad of volunteers offering help. From the group one took on the recovery, Travis Hudson. By 5:00 p.m., Travis closed the recovery. And heard from Matthew who was very happy with the help he received.
