Wrangler stuck in the mud

Friday, May 12th, 2023, at 9:20 p.m. (EDT), our system received a request for an offroad recovery in New Jersey. Our administrator for the east coast, Brandon Brooks, handled it, verified the information and submitted it to volunteers.

The request was submitted by Ezra Gonzalez, it read: “My 2-door wrangler jk w/o a winch got stuck in the mud at colliers mills wildlife management area in Jackson NJ off Old County Rd. It got dark, and I couldn’t find anybody to help, so I left the vehicle for the night since I had no phone service. / I’m not with the vehicle“.

The ticket was submitted to local volunteers, and from them, one took over the recovery, Hartmut Kraft, a local volunteer. The requester was asking to get the vehicle out on Saturday, but Hartmut contacted Ezra and they decided to meet that same night and recover the Jeep at night.

Our volunteer closed the request a few hours later and send us two photos. He called them before and after. Hartmut, thanks; awesome job, and very much appreciated.
