Sunday 13th, at 11:11 p.m. (PST), we received a request for a recovery from Lane County, near the Lane Community College, where Jerred Pfefferkorn got stuck in the mud while driving his Subaru.
We chatted with Jerred, and since he was back home, we decided to postpone the recovery until the following day with daylight.
The following day, having the GPS location and a photo of the incident, we submitted the ticket to local volunteers at 8:22 a.m.
By 8:26 a.m., we had a healthy amount of volunteers chatting and trying to coordinate. Larry Davis was the first to jump on this one and announced he would be there in 30 minutes.
He contacted Jerred, and by 9:00 a.m., they were meeting at the scene. By 9:35 a.m., Larry closed the ticket informing us he got Jerred out. He tried using his winch but had an electrical issue, so he pulled him gently with a strap. He followed Jerred all the way out. Excellent work by Larry!
Here are some photos Larry shared with us…
