Friday 29th of April, at 5:28 p.m. (PST), we received a recovery request from Michigan submitted by Kenneth Vincent.
His note read: “Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota Tundra, stuck on a snowmobile trail 2 miles east of Michigamme, stuck in mud/clay and snow / I’m with the vehicle”
We contacted him and verified his location and current status together with his contact information. We also learned a bit more about the condition they were currently.
We don’t have many volunteers in our system in Michigan, but with the help of our partners from 4×4 Rescue we tapped into their list of volunteers in Michigan4x4Rescue and Wisconsin4x4rescue.
Within a few minutes we got a volunteer, Ed Warren from the Wisconsin4x4rescue FB group who jumped into action, contacted Kenneth and an hour later was doing the recovery.
He also signed up in our system, so next time he will get the text message when there is another recovery.
