Friday, April 18th, 2025, at 9:56 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Idaho. The requester, Wyatt Holliman , submitted the following information: “Stuck in Mud 10 ft from solid 2016 Toyota Tacoma coordinates 42.58789,-116.94487 / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 75-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Shawn Johnston marking himself as engaging and taking over the recovery. The request was submitted at night, but the recovery was setup for early in the morning, in order to make it safer for everybody.
By 10 a.m. the request was closed by Shawn in our lobby. We want to thank Shawn for taking the time to take care of this and also all other volunteers who responded to the call and brainstormed ideas to get this done. You guys are amazing.
