Stuck in the mud, pretty much bottomed out

Monday, May 4th, 2026, at 6:41 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Wisconsin. The requester, Donovan Cannon, submitted the following information: “It’s a Jeep Cherokee, it’s stuck in the mud, pretty much bottomed out. It’s located on my property. You have to go around some pine trees to get back towards at. It’s down a slight hill sitting in the marsh in the mud, located in reedsburg, wisconsin / I’m with the vehicle”

Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 90-mile radius.

From the contacted volunteers in this area, we had Brian Roell taking over the recovery. Brian was over 100 miles from the requester, over 2 hours away and willing to go the following day.

The next day, he coordinated with the requester and took care of this request. By noon, the request was completed and Brian left a quick note on our lobby stating: “Successful recovery. That winch was working.”

We appreciate Brian’s help, and his willingness to drive such long distance to help out! Awesome.
