Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at 7:20 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Maine. The requester, Louis Jeanotte, submitted the following information: “Door dash GPS sent me down this road in my scion TC….. 30 more ft and I would’ve got out the last “puddle” was a bit deeper than the rest and we lost momentum. She’s a gonner. Need it out of there asap please help. / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 30-mile radius.
From the group of local volunteers we reached out to, we found Ryan Walsh, who was approximately 17 miles away from the request and willing to assist. He made contact with the requester, and it was decided that the recovery operation would be conducted in the morning under daylight conditions.

The recovery was completed early the following day, by 8:20 a.m., Ryan updated our lobby stating: “All set. Car is out and at the corner of the main road for AAA to pickup.”
We want to thank Ryan for taking care of this request. Awesome job.
