All Recoveries Performed

Since 2019, we’ve assisted with thousands of recoveries across the country, partnering with incredible volunteers, clubs, and organizations to provide help to those in need. Each recovery we handle is documented in detail, including maps, photos, and a brief background story about the request. Occasionally, we’re fortunate to receive extensive information from our volunteers. When that happens, we express our gratitude by sending them a free large decal for their vehicles. On June 17, 2024, a request from Thomas Tucker for offroad recovery in Alabama was received after his truck rolled off a seawall. David Mrak organized local assistance, and volunteer Kurt Burge successfully recovered the vehicle using a winch setup, completing the task in 1.5 hours, addressing the situation with minimal property disruption.

Stuck at a hill in Wildomar OHV

On June 11th, 2024, Anthony Vu requested offroad recovery assistance in Wildomar OHV, California. Stuck on a hill, he needed a winch out. Local volunteer Kyle Phillips responded quickly and freed the vehicle within an hour. Thanks to Kyle for his prompt and helpful assistance.

4runner in mud offroad recovery in Ohio

On June 11, 2024, a request for assistance with an offroad recovery in Ohio was submitted by Brandon Ward. Despite volunteers being far, many responded within an hour. Fortunately, Brandon freed his vehicle by 11:15 a.m. The organization thanked volunteers and encouraged more sign-ups for future requests.

On June 11, 2024, Laurie Ellis requested offroad recovery assistance in Maine after becoming trapped in water with a Jeep. David Mrak organized the response, with volunteers Craig Pushard and Benjamin Jenkins assisting. Craig documented the challenging rescue, describing the vehicle’s complex extraction process. The recovery was successful thanks to Craig’s detailed efforts.

GMC canyon buried in mud

On June 2nd, 2024, Arthur Greenlee requested help for his stuck GMC Canyon AT4X in a Michigan swamp. Offroad Portal’s David Mrak coordinated with local volunteer Kaleb Edwards, who responded by 11:30 a.m. and successfully assisted by 1:00 p.m. The situation is awaiting further updates and photos.

I’m stuck in mud and sliding off

On June 2nd, 2024, Aaron Schwarz requested offroad recovery in Tennessee after his truck got stuck in mud. David Mrak organized volunteer help, and Moose Petersen successfully recovered the truck using a Jeep and kinetic rope. Moose provided photos and was thanked with a decal. Volunteers can sign up for recovery alerts.

Stuck in mud in Illinois

On June 1st, 2024, Nathan Manalastas requested help for his Ford excursion stuck in mud in Illinois. Organized by David Mrak, local volunteers were mobilized. Stuck in a vacant lot

On June 1st, 2024, Edward Cavazos requested assistance in Texas for his Nissan Sentra stuck in mud. Local volunteer Misty Weddle responded within minutes and used her winch to quickly free the car. Misty had previously helped Edward. Their prompt response highlights community support and efficiency in offroad recoveries.
