F-250 SuperDuty stuck in mud

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, at 11:49 a.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Georgia. The requester, Shane Kemp, submitted the following information: “Hey guys, I got my 2004 Ford F-250 SuperDuty XLT 5.4L RWD stuck in some mud, my tires are bald I knew I should have stayed back, and I didn’t my mistake, I need someone with an AWD and a which or a come-along, the truck is lowered and got stuck while going up the hill, I need it out by Friday 03/15/2024 Its suppose to rain all day that area floods bad next to the creek, it would be torso high [6FT MAN] and most definitely get it hydro locked the area is behind my friend’s house, knock on the door and say you’re there for a truck stuck, I can provide photos later! / I’m not with the vehicle.”

David Mrak, one of our general administrators for Offroad Portal, organized the request. He contacted the requester, verified the location and situation, and shared the request with volunteers around a 65-mile radius.

One of our local volunteers, Steve Vaughn, offered help for the following day. Later in the afternoon, Steve sent a text to the requester to coordinate the recovery for the following day.

The following day, Steve traveled around 70 miles and by 6:00 p.m., he got them out.

We really appreciate Steve’s help and also his willingness to travel such long distance to help somebody.
