Friday, March 28th, 2025, at 3:34 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Jessie Ankrom, submitted the following information: “So my issue is I am currently stuck in 2 feet maybe a foot and a half maybe 2 1/2 feet of snow we made it down the trail just fine. We cannot get back up the trail. I need help getting out. I’m stuck in snow. I have a one-year-old in my backseat. I am in a dark gray Jeep gladiator it is a 2025 / I’m with the vehicle / I can help cover the cost of fuel.”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 40-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Joshua Sanders offering help, and contacting the requester. From a facebook group we had Jason also offering help and right away going toward the requester. Joshua also continued to go to the request just in case Jason needed extra help.
Jason also joined our group of volunteers. We want to thank Jason and also Joshua for helping on this recovery. Amazing job with this offroad recovery in California.
