We hit a stump and snapped the front wheels

Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, at 6:36 p.m. (ET), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Maine. The requester, Francis Lemieux, submitted the following information: “Hello, I am looking for help retrieving my Honda Pioneer in Saco, Me. We hit stump and actually snapped the front wheels so its sitting on the front frame. Tried a couple attempts to get it but i dont have the right equipment. The trail system is behind my house and is pretty dry. Need and expert with the right machine and it should come right out. Probably only a mile in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Willing to pay / I’m with the vehicle.”

David Mrak verified the information, contacted Francis, and got the ticket submitted to local volunteers within a 35-mile radius.

From the group of volunteers who responded to our call, we had one who took it upon himself to get the job done. Craig Pushard marked himself as engaging, and by 10:30 p.m., Craig and Francis were chatting back and forth in our lobby, trying to coordinate efforts.

The trail where the vehicle was stuck was pretty narrow, but Craig was pretty sure he could make his full-size vehicle work. The recovery was done a week later since Craig had some mechanical issues. But on May 28th, at around 9 p.m., Francis announced in our lobby that the recovery was done. He wrote: “Thank you Craig!!! We got her out and he couldn’t have been more patient and more awesome to work with. Drove over an hour and a half to help me out. Took some doing but worked out great. Absolutely going to try to have him fix it as well. Could not be happier. Also, thanks David for putting it all together!.”

We didn’t get any photos from Francis or Craig. But Francis took a bit of time to share a few more details later today.

We want to thank Craig for taking care of this recovery. Awesome job.
