Friday at 9:22 a.m., we received a recovery request from Illinois, where Allen Timmerwilke slid off the road while driving his Jeep Wrangler 4 doors. He mentioned he was next to the Mississippi River.
Once we contacted him and verified his information we set up the ticket and send it to the volunteers we had in the area. We also invited more volunteers from our friends at Illinois 4×4 rescue group.
A few minutes after submitting the ticket to volunteers, one of our volunteers from Missouri, Matthew Barlow jumped into action and contact Allen and coordinate the recovery. They got there in the afternoon and by 5:55 p.m. (PST) he closed the ticket and told us they got him out.
