Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. (PT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in California. The requester, Lyle Eustice, submitted the following information: “My jeep cherokee is stuck on a steep dirt road. The tires are dug in and the passenger rear is in danger of slipping off small cliff. / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 55-mile radius.
From the local group of contacted volunteers we had Andrew Valdez offering help later in the afternoon. He was about 100 miles away from this place. The requester was able to get a ride back home later in the afternoon, so the recovery was programmed for the following day.

Once back in the city, the requester and Andrew got in contact and coordinated the recovery. By 7 p.m. the following day, the request was completed.
We want to thank Andrew, who joined us for this particular ticket. We don’t have all the details but we know he heard about our request at a local facebook group and used the link we always share to become a volunteer and participate in this recovery.
Awesome job Andrew. Thanks for the taking the time to help with this request.
