Sunday, March 19th, 2023, 11:51 a.m. (EST), our system received a request for an offroad recovery of a jeep stuck in mud. The requester, Matthew Russell Spitzer send us this information: “In jeep xj. Have 4×4 and winch. Stuck in a mud hole on Experiment rd behind the Sandhills Home Depot. Should be easy access from the Sandhills side between Home Depot and Cracker Barrel / I’m with the vehicle“
Our admin for the east coast, Brandon Brooks handle the request to volunteers, after checking location, contact information and situation.
The request was submitted at 11:52 a.m. to volunteers, 12:02 p.m., Ryan Heath, a local volunteer announced he will be taking over the recovery.
Ryan later sent us a quick note about the recovery: “The mud hole had some deep spots that caused him to get crossed up. He couldn’t winch himself out because his winch cable wasn’t long enough to reach the closest tree. I used a double-line pull with my snatch block to free his vehicle. He dug himself in pretty deep on opposite corner tires.“
