Monday, January 29th, 2024, at 2:35 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oklahoma near Lequire. The requester, Roger Walker, contacted us on our emergency line, we created the ticket with his submitted information: “His truck is stuck on the side of a muddy road; he slid off and had to leave his truck behind. He is asking for somebody with a winch or a rope to pull him off, he thinks, is not a difficult recovery, he left the vehicle behind last night. He is willing to pay for fuel. We don’t have any photos. / I’m with the vehicle”
We submitted the request to volunteers around 2:38 p.m., and by 2.46 p.m., we got David Taylor taking over the recovery. He contacted Roger and started to drive over. He was 2.5 hours away but willing to assist. By 5:41 p.m., he closed the request and uploaded a few photos.
We appreciate Taylor’s help and his willingness to drive for such a long time to help Roger. Awesome job.
