Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 21:14 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Oklahoma. The requester, Stanley Quach, submitted the following information: “Stuck in mud, solid ground nearby. I am near a county road near lake. F150 super crew/ I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 55-mile radius.
From the group of contacted volunteers we had Brad Blevins taking over the recovery. Just a few minutes after the request was released to volunteers, we had Brad engaging. He traveled over 50 miles to assist in this request.
The recovery was completed and later we received an update from Brad with a photo.
From Brad
I only got one photo after we got hooked up the first time! See attached.

So this was a F150 4×4 (4 wheel drive wasn’t working) stuck about 4 feet from the lake (see waves in the background). It also had a 12 ft trailer connected loaded down with scrap metal and appliances. I found this part out when I arrived and my heart dropped. He outweighed me by at least 2x. I set up in 3 different locations but I just kept getting pulled in by the winch due to the soft ground and weight difference. We were able to find a small birm to brace my Jeep against and it finally popped out of the mud. Success!
We want to thank Brad for such great job and to all other volunteers who responded the call.
