Friday, April 19th, 2024, at 3:39 a.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Chickasaw, Alabama. The requester, Thomas Larry Tucker, submitted the following information: “F150 Crewcab – I pulled into a dirt pit once I seen my four-wheel drive wasn’t working, I have tried backing up and slid off in some mud and sank / I’m with the vehicle.”
We verified the information and location submitted and prepared the request for local volunteers within an 80-mile radius. It was very early in the morning, but within minutes of submitting the ticket out, we had volunteers already offering to help in the afternoon.
From the group of folks contacted, we had Gary Jones, Brian Martin, and Christopher Stockton all offering to help in the afternoon after work. Luckily, Thomas managed to get the vehicle out by 9 a.m., but we still want to thank all the volunteers who responded to our call and offered help. You guys are amazing.
