Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at 5:15 p.m. (MT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Montana. The requester, Tyler Nunnally, submitted the following information: “Prickly pear trail. 2024 f250 4wd stuck in snow on trail. / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 40-mile radius.
Within a few minutes we got Shaun Kennedy taking over the request. We didn’t get much more information about the recovery, byt by 9:14 p.m., the request was closed by Shaun. He announced in our lobby, “Everyone out”.
We later got a couple photos and a quick note from Shaun as follows:
One moderate pull with the recovery rope, had them out. Had to back up about a mile to find a good place for them to turn around. Couple times I had to winch the back of the truck back onto the trail, it was late afternoon and the snow was getting rotten. I was running 5psi in the tyres of my 4Runner, it was getting around great.

We want to thank Shaun for helping with this offroad recovery in Montana.
