Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, at 2:26 p.m. (CT), we received a request for help with an offroad recovery in Alabama. The requester, David Steinberg, submitted the following information: “Tractor slid down a ditch and my dually got stuck in the same ditch trying to get it out. / I’m with the vehicle”
Our administrator, Al Fontan, contacted the requester and verified the contact information provided, GPS location, and current situation before sending the request to local volunteers. In this particular recovery, we contacted volunteers within a 25-mile radius.
From the group of local volunteers contacted we had 4 jumping to take over the request. The one who pulled the tractor back was Caleb Vilander and the one who pulled the F150 was Jonathan Moran. The request was closed by 7:00 p.m. Caleb a few days later sent us a few photos and a quick note we share below.

No issues to report, my F150 was able to pull the Ram 3500 out with a couple pulls on a kinetic rope, no damage done. Jonathan arrived shortly after, and put some work in with his winch getting the tractor out without tipping it over.
Joshua arrived as we were getting set for the final pull and showed everyone how to engage the lockers on a hydro tractor. Lol.
