Monday, March 6th, 2023, at 4:03 a.m., we received a request for an offroad snow recovery of a vehicle stuck west of Eugene. Kyle Spicer, a repeating customer, needed help one more time. Here is the article on the first recovery we did for him.
We processed the request around 6:00 a.m., and by 6:50 a.m., the ticket was submitted to volunteers. At 7:52 a.m., a local volunteer, Larry Davis, contacted Kyle and announced in the lobby that he would head toward Kyle in one hour. A few minutes later, at 7:58 a.m., Ian Ellis, another local volunteer, joined the recovery.
Larry and Ian were headed toward Kyle at 9:00 a.m. By 10:30 a.m., Larry closed the request. They got Kyle out of trouble.
Ian sent me this note later on: “He was stuck in the drainage in the snow out towards triangle lake. Larry was a great help. We used my Land Rover to anchor his Jeep and winches the stick pick up sideways back onto the road.“
Thank you guys, you both saved the day. Awesome job.
