Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at 9:30 p.m. (EDT), we received a request for an offroad recovery from Pennsylvania. The requester, Jarhett Michael Doyle, submitted the following information: “Somerset County Pennsylvania, Seven Springs. Off road T724. 1994 GMC Sierra, stuck in slick(ish) conditions on a downhill trail. 4WD stopped working mideay down the grade and got stuck in legit mud trying to turn around. / I’m with the vehicle“
Once we verify the contact information, and had a few more details from Jarhett, we uploaded some photos and confirmed the GPS coordinates. The ticket was submitted to our local volunteers.
One of the local volunteers offered to help in the morning, Lev Osterweil, this recovery was 35 minutes from where he was. We asked Lev to coordinate with Jarhett. The following morning Lev took off early in the morning. By 11 a.m., he closed the request and wrote “It was an easy pull on a slippery trail.“
