Member stuck in Arizona

Friday, October 6th, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. (MT), a request for an offroad recovery in Arizona was submitted to our emergency line by RC, one of our members in Arizona. Hi kid, Josh, while driving a Jeep Cherokee, got stuck in the mud to his axles. The brief description we received included the following: “I am at the Rio Vista mine in Parker. It’s a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am stuck in some soft dirt buried to the rear axel. Just need a good pull. / I’m with the vehicle“.

Josh had barely any cell service. He climbed a while before he was able to contact us. It took about an hour while we shared with several local groups and organizations. Near the incident, we had very few volunteers. By 8 p.m., we had Mike Davis, a local volunteer, on his way. He was 30 minutes away. By 10:00 p.m., Mike closed the request; he spent some time trying to find Josh since the location was not exact because he submitted the request from the area he walked to find service.

Mike later let us know he used his winch to get him out.

Thanks, Mike; your help was very appreciated.
