Ford truck stuck in the mud

Friday, December 29th, 2023, at 1:07 a.m. (ET), we received a request for an offroad recovery in Florida 16 miles west of Miami. The requester, Roger Castellon, submitted the following information: “Ford truck stuck in the mud in Miami, Florida / I’m with the vehicle”.

We immediately contacted Roger to verify the location and confirm the situation. He replied back, letting us know somebody just happened to stop, and he thought he would have the vehicle recovered shortly. So, we cancel the request at 1:13 a.m.

At 2:46 a.m., he contacted us again and requested to get the recovery restarted. Since it was so late, we decided to activate the recovery early in the morning.

We released the request to volunteers at 8.00 a.m. (ET), By 8:06 a.m., we had Israel Perez-Siam taking over the recovery. He marked himself as engaging, contacted Roger, and coordinated the recovery.

At 8:43 a.m., Israel sent a quick note letting us know that he probably needed more help; he snapped a CV axle and was still working on the recovery. We don’t have many details, but by 10:02 a.m., we were let know the recovery was completed, and Israel submitted a few photos.

Thanks, Israel; we appreciate your prompt response and help with this recovery. (offroad recovery in Florida)
